Digital Technician

AVX Audio Visual is looking for digital technicians to assist in our warehouse and office. Candidates MUST have hands-on experience maintaining computers, as well as a working knowledge of AutoCAD or Vectorworks to be considered. This experience includes quality control and maintenance of our equipment, prepping QCing media for various shows and events, and assisting with CAD drawings for upcoming shows.

Job Requirements

Quality Control

  • Thoroughly test & QC all rental computer inventory, including Macs, PCs, iPads, iPhones, Android Tablets, etc.

  • Monitor and facilitate the disposition of any equipment found to be damaged or in need of repair during the QC process

  • Communicate progress and/or potential issues with immediate supervisors and/or managers

  • Maintain a clean and organized work space

 

Digital Media

  • Receive incoming media from clients, and QC for accuracy and functionality​

  • Maintain our cloud-based digital media server with media from past and upcoming shows

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe CC preferred, for prep and managing of media

​

CAD

  • Assist with AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks drawings of our gear, as well as specific builds and installations​

Qualifications

Applicants should meet the minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent GED Required

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Clean Driving Record

  • Technical Aptitude and Computer Skills Required

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or Vectorworks

  • Knowledge of Adobe CC, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, and After Effects

  • Understanding of video formats, resolutions, and signals

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends

  • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to provide exemplary "can do" service for both internal and external clients

Pay Scale

This position comes with a pay scale of $35-40/hr, based on experience.
