Event Technician
AVX Audio Visual is looking for experienced theater/event/trade show technicians. Candidates MUST have live event experience in order to be considered. This experience includes accurate and timely setup, operation, and strike of audio visual equipment as well as outstanding customer service.
Job Requirements
Candidates should have knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the following audio/visual skills:

Understanding of video formats, resolutions, and signals

Media editing with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator)

Computer skills including Windows 10, Mac, Microsoft Office Suite Products and basic networking

LED video walls including Novastar and Brompton video processing
-
LED image processing
-
Set up of LCD monitors, including touchscreens and seamless video walls
-
Projection set up
-
Audio set up including wireless mics, speakers, amps, mixers, EQs, and signal flow
-
Video Switchers/Routers including Black Magic, Image Pro and Analog Way
-
Lighting set up including understanding of DMX, power and signal flow, intelligent and static lighting fixtures
-
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
-
Be able to interact and communicate with a client at a high level and to work under tight deadlines
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the minimum requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent GED Required, College Degree Preferred

Valid Drivers License
-
Ability to travel out of state required. Ability to travel internationally preferred

Clean Driving Record

Clean Appearance
-
MUST be willing to travel up to 150 days a year with runs up to 14 days at a time
-
Good Communication and organizational skills required
-
Ability to self-motivate and adjust to changing priorities, as well as a willingness to take ownership of the specific jobs assigned to each individual

Strong work ethic, integrity, attention to detail, level-headed, sense of humor, and a great attitude are a plus

Ability to work flexible hours including nights and/or weekends
-
Ability to work overtime during peak seasons
-
Standard working shift is 8-10 hours, with extreme circumstances leading to shifts up to 12 hours or more
-
Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
-
Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, climbing ladders, carrying, walking, and reaching on a frequent basis.

Pay Scale
This position comes with a pay scale of $30-40/hr, based on experience.
